Rectangular, rounded box with metal mounting and gold flux decoration, the lid with fine polychrome painting depicting Charlemagne with sword and orb, the lid with owner's signature “Karl Kruska” and an unresolved maker's mark “A.P.” in an oval frame and no. 42, approx. 2.5x9x5.5 cm. Rubbed, signs of age and use.
