KÖNIGLICHE PORZELLANMANUFAKTUR BERLIN, KPM, ‘Jewellery box in the shape of a chest of drawers’, circa 1900, rare version of a large jewellery box, model no. : 3117' by Robert Schirmer 1885, Rococo-style cambered commode body with pale yellow ground and leaf decorations and winged angel heads partly modelled in high relief, besides the discreet ornamental gilding framed in rocaille on all sides with fine paintings of floral still lifes and insects, on the lid an idyllic garden scene with a dancing couple in contemporary costume, blue sceptre mark, red orb mark and gold painter's mark on the underside.
