We appreciate values

with the head as well as with the heart

The history

Spread over three auction houses with different focuses, the hammer is swung four times a month at the Eppli company. What began 40 years ago with a small store specializing in the purchase and sale of antique jewelry and the fascination for jewelry is now one of the largest auction houses in southern Germany. The meanwhile widely expanded portfolio is spread over a total of eight locations. In addition to the regular auctions, the Eppli locations also offer a unique range of jewelry, watches, antiques, art, designer fashion & accessories for immediate purchase.

"We appreciate values" crystallized over time into a corporate philosophy in two senses: Not only do we appreciate the current market value of various items on a daily basis. Rather, the appreciation of special things is part of the foundation and deep conviction of our work. With more than 25,000 auctioned items per year and a great team of experts from all fields, Eppli has become the leading auction house in Southern Germany in recent years. With the Expert Center(www.expertenzentrum.de) founded in 2015 directly at the Stuttgart marketplace, our comprehensive expertise was bundled at a central location in order to meet the increasing demand for valuation, appraisals, consignment for auction and mortgaging even more efficiently. Today, the Eppli Expert Center is one of the leading institutes in Germany and is unique in its kind.

After more than 40 years of management by Gabriele and Franz Eppli, the second generation is already at work in the Eppli house. Ferdinand Eppli currently leads the fortunes of the family business together with his parents. Already during his apprenticeship he set the course for the continuation of the company. Ferdinand B. Eppli studied business administration in Germany and the USA and then completed a specialized training as a gemologist at GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in New York. GIA is considered the world's most renowned institute for the graduation, teaching and research of diamonds and gemstones. Having been publicly appointed and sworn in as an auctioneer by the state capital of Stuttgart, he can, just like his father, also auction off authority orders and disputed objects with the corresponding legal security.
His sister Katharina has successfully completed a Master's degree in "Fashion, Luxury & Sales Management" at the International School of Management in Cologne and is active in the management of the family business - primarily in the Fashion Department. The vision of both is to position the company even further as the leading auction house in southern Germany and to drive digitalization within the company.

As part of our charitable activities, we responsibly address societal and social issues. We regularly hold auctions in favor of foundations and non-profit organizations. We have bundled our social commitment in the Eppli & Hopf Foundation, a foundation under civil law. Particularly close to our hearts is the support of people who have fallen on hard times due to accidents, illness or strokes of fate. We see this commitment as our corporate duty.
