PORTANIER, GILBERT (Cannes 1926 - 2023 Vallauris) 3 ceramic paintings, 1980s/90s, 1. Light-coloured body, rectangular plate with polychrome staffage in portrait format. The abstract figure painting in the central field is signed and dated 'Portanier 83' and is separated from a light blue passepartout by a raised frame line. Surface with age-related patina, edge on the reverse with chipping, H 40 cm x W 30.5 cm. 2. Rectangular plate in landscape format with figure motif, signed and dated 'Portanier 83', dark background in the central field that stands out from the cream-coloured frame area. Mounted in a wooden frame. L 31 cm x H 23.5 cm. 3. Square wall tile, red background with black and white, stylised figure motif, signed lower right and dated 'Portanier 95', in a gold-colored frame, dimensions without frame: 20 x 20 cm. With frame: 33 x 33 cm. Well preserved.
