Powder horn, German, 17th/18th century, body made of flat pressed horn, stylised fish as a bowl also made of horn, stopper and base made of wood, finely engraved with a depiction of a woman with a trident riding a sea monster, as well as grotesques and leg inserts on both sides. Iron carrying loop on the side. Total length approx. 24.5 cm. Signs of age and rubbing, small chip to the body. PROVENANCE: South German private collection.
