Magic figure ('village fetish') SONGYE/KONGO. The female figure stands on a round base, the arms are bent. On the head there is an animal horn and a tooth. Large round eyes with pupils protruding, the large round mouth is open. There is a face on the belly. The figure is wrapped with cords to which are attached a bone, feathers, a piece of animal jaw and the part of a dried mushroom. Patina, signs of age.
