HERMÈS silk scarf 'ANIMAUX SOLAIRES', by Zoé Pauwels, design first published in 1994. Current retail price: €530. 100% silk. The mandala is a concentric representation of the universe. This square shows Tibetan mandalas from the 15th–16th centuries. Lions, horses, deer and eagles chase each other in the corner vines. The sun is enthroned above the altar behind the gate of the surrounding wall, and the primordial spark shines in the centre. 90 x 90 cm. Hand-rolled hems. Box included. Signs of wear, small stains present.
