HERMÈS silk scarf 'DAIMYO', by Françoise Faconnet, design first published in 1991. Retail price: 495,-€. 100% (brocade) silk. The daimyo are the rulers of feudal Japan, whose coats of arms often depict plants or animals. The crane is a symbol of happiness and long life. Here it is framed by ginkgo leaves and the crossing of samurai swords, which are the instruments of battle and hara-kiri and thus represent the bravery and honour of the princes of the rising sun. 90 x 90 cm. Hand rolled hems. Very good condition. With box.
