ST. PETERSBURG Inkstand in egg shape, 84 zolotniki, 1882-1899. The egg can be opened: in the lower part standing on 3 ball feet is a glass insert (damaged at the opening) with a silver lid, the upper part of the egg has a ring-shaped handle and can be used as a bell, hallmark for St. Petersburg with fineness 84 as well as an 'E' (probably French import hallmark), h. approx. 11 cm, weight approx. 117 g. Slightly dented, signs of age and use.
