High praise for Eppli: The Stuttgart-based auction and trading house was among the four finalists in the newly created ‘Jeweller of the Year’ category at the INHORGENTA AWARD 2026. The awards ceremony took place on 21 February 2026 at the Bavaria Film Studios.

For the ninth time, the INHORGENTA AWARD has recognised outstanding achievements in the jewellery, watch and gemstone industry. An international jury of experts selected the best in their field across a total of ten categories. With the new ‘Jeweller of the Year’ category, the focus was placed on brick-and-mortar specialist retailers for the first time. Nominations were made for businesses that set new standards through excellence in retail, outstanding customer service, a compelling overall concept and innovative strength both online and offline. The fact that Eppli made it into the top four underlines the relevance and appeal of the Stuttgart-based concept in the competition.

A trading model that sets an example

“Being nominated as a finalist fills us with immense gratitude and pride. It is a tribute to our entire team, who work every day with tremendous expertise, great passion and personal dedication,” says Managing Director Ferdinand B. Eppli, who was present at the awards ceremony. “The fact that our approach of combining consultancy, valuation, trading and auctions under one roof has been deemed forward-looking by a high-calibre jury is, in our view, a strong signal for the entire industry.”

"At the same time, Eppli ranks among the most prominent auction houses in Germany. Thanks to its associated centre of expertise, exceptional rarities regularly come up for sale, appealing to an international audience. Clients can purchase, sell, auction or have jewellery and watches professionally appraised – transparently, personally and on an equal footing. “Our aim is to rethink luxury – not as short-term consumption, but as lasting value,” says Ferdinand Eppli. “We are delighted that the jury has selected our holistic concept as a finalist, and this spurs us on to continue along this path with determination.”

A driving force for the specialist retail sector of tomorrow

The INHORGENTA AWARD is one of the most prestigious accolades in the jewellery and watch industry, recognising those who are shaping the future of the specialist retail sector with passion and vision. By combining retail expertise, auction house know-how and international marketing, Eppli has established a circular model that builds trust, fosters lasting customer relationships and gives new relevance to the concept of value retention. Its place as a finalist in the ‘Jeweller of the Year’ category underscores the company’s position as an innovative trendsetter – far beyond the borders of Stuttgart.
