Württemberg - Infantry officer's sabre ‘Carl Eickhorn, Solingen’, before 1921, approx. 85 cm long, nickel-plated single-edged blade of magnetic steel with two narrow fullers on each side. Manufacturer's mark ‘’Double Squirrel‘’ / ‘’C.E.‘’ by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, on the back of the blade ricasso (mark in use until 1921). Brass mountings with the Württemberg coat of arms in the guard plate, King Charles' cipher on the pommel cap. The grip is made of ribbed, black celluloid, wrapped with twisted and rolled brass cord, with finger loop. With a lanyard. Original scabbard made of black lacquered, magnetic metal shaft. Signs of age and use, minimal nickel-plating loss on the blade, paint chipping in places on the scabbard with light surface oxidation.
