ROLEX rare Oyster Perpetual Explorer I 'Tropical Gilt Underline' Man's watch, ref. 1016. Approx. 1963. Stainless steel, case number 901513, caseback signed on the inside 'II.63'. Automatic movement cal. 1560, very good working order (+7s/d, 263°). Black Tritium dial with chapterring, gilt print and silver Underline below the printing 'Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified', Tritium hands. Rolex bracelet ref. 7835 with folding clasp in stainless steel, end links 357, made for another Rolex model with 19mm lugs. Visible signs of wear on case and bracelet, caseback with signs from openeing, dial with nice patina, light scratches and cracks on the dial surface. Diameter approx. 36mm without crown, suitable for a wrist size of approx. 19.5cm.
