J.P. Morgan signed bond certificate of the New Jersey Junction Railroad Co.,1886, write partially printed, 100-year bond for the New Jersey Junction Railroad, signed ‘J. Pierpont Morgan’ as trustee. No. 2118, 30 June 1886, additionally signed by Harris C. Fahnestock. With four pages of coupons bound in front of the bond, all but one of which are original coupons. With blindstamp of the New Jersey Junction Railroad Company. Dimensions: approx. 34x5 x 24 cm. Signs of age and wear, minimally browned, with minor creases and wear at the edges. NOTE: The NJJRC was part of the New York Central Railroad. It ran south along the Hudson River to Jersey City. It was founded in February 1886. On 1 July, the day after this deed was issued, the railway was leased to the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad for 100 years. Morgan and Fahnestock signed the 100-year bond as trustees of the NJJRC.
