“Kluger und Rechts-verständiger Haus-Vatter” (Wise and Law-abiding House Father) - House Father's Book, early 18th century, consisting of 12 parts, in German, by Franz Philipp Florinus (Philipp von Sulzbach), Woodcut with allegorical representation of Justitia surrounded by the virtues, sciences, and arts on the frontispiece, with dedication to the Elector, Prince-Bishop, and Archbishop of Mainz and Imperial Archchancellor Lothario Francisco von Schönborn. Decorated with initials and woodcuts. Printed in Nuremberg/Frankfurt and Leipzig, published by Christoph Riegels, printed by Johann Ernst Adelbulner, around 1722, bound in pigskin. With signs of age and wear, binding slightly detached and damaged, frontispiece loose, book pages creased and partially torn.
