JAPAN “Miyao-style bronze vase” late 19th century.
Cast bronze, slender, slightly bulbous body, the wall decorated with detailed reliefs of flowers, reeds, and peonies, flanked in the upper third by two solid handles on either side, H: 30.5 cm. Signs of age.
Private collection from Hesse, according to verbal statements, acquired locally during the Boxer Rebellion (1900–1901).
