WILKENS & SÖHNE “Small Table Candlestick”
Silver 835. Square base with shaped, curved, and molded outline, decorated with vertical fluting along the edge of the foot. Single-light form with a bell-shaped socket and widely flared rim. The design is inspired by classical Baroque models of the 18th century. The underside is covered with green felt. Inside the socket stamped with the maker’s mark “WILKENS,” fineness mark “835,” crescent moon & crown, as well as the model number. Additional adhesive label marked “tarnish-resistant.” Width: approx. 10.5 cm. Material: Silver 835. Weight: not determinable, as the base is weighted. Very good age-related condition with minimal signs of use.
