Description
MEISSEN Dancer from the Russian ballet 'Chiarina', 20th century. 1st choice. Model by Paul Scheurich, 1912, character from the ballet 'Carnaval,' arranged in 1910 in St. Petersburg by Mikhail Fokine to Robert Schumann's piano music and performed in Berlin by Sergei Diaghilev's ballet company. Chiarina, wearing a crinoline dress and cap, her hands held to her sides, with ballet shoes, stands on an oval base. At her feet lie flowers, a mask, and a fan. Model no. 73305, crossed swords mark, H 27.5 cm. Excellent condition!
