On the back, with the artist's personal stamp 'KÜBLER STUTTGART SEESTR. 118' as well as a sticker from the Württemberg Art Association Stuttgart, handwritten with name, address, title, and technique ('OIL'). 60x80 cm. Framed in the artist's moulding. 70/90 cm. A lively, atmospherically dense scene of an Italian marketplace under arcades. Kübler captures the bustling activity rendered with a confident, impasto brushstroke. The composition is structured by the architectural arches, beneath which market stalls with displays ('Comestibili') and figures are arranged. The work impresses with a warm play of light and an earthy color palette, typical of Kübler’s travel impressions from the South. In its formal reduction and emphasis on the surface, the artist’s connection to the Stuttgart School and moderate modernism is evident. Excellent original condition.
