4 red chalk drawings, image 1: the king's daughter Danae reveals her great affection for Zeus to the little god of love Eros and asks for his help in fulfilling her wishes. She points to Zeus, who is asleep, indicating that the time is very favourable for success and that Eros should perform his duty immediately. Image 2: Zeus, father of the gods. Image 3: Danae sends Eros into the air with his bow and arrow, Image 4: The little god of love is delighted that he has successfully fulfilled his mission. Zeus had transformed himself into a heavy rain cloud, Danae rides through the air on this cloud, whereupon Zeus came to her in the form of golden rain, and Danae became the mother of Perseus, HxW: 24/33 cm.
