NOTE: The Wiebke Behning Collection – A small album of oblates from her husband's childhood grew into a significant collection. Wiebke Behning became an expert in chromolithographs, embossed folding cards and luxurious paper works. Over the years, she deepened her knowledge of the history of glossy pictures and poetry albums from the late 19th to early 20th centuries in the ‘Bild Druck Papier’ working group. Her collection includes artistically designed family register boxes, scrapbooks and poetry albums with detailed embossing and silk appliqués. She made these works accessible to a wide audience in numerous exhibitions, inviting people to rediscover the delicacy and beauty of this paper art. ‘I just can't walk past something beautiful,’ she said, explaining her passion for collecting.
