KÄTHE KRUSE “Little Dreamer”, 2nd half of the 20th century, so-called ‘sand baby’, with a weighted head and body designed to simulate the weight of a baby for demonstration purposes (weight 2.7 kg); plastic head with closed eyes, painted face and hair; body covered in jersey fabric, with loosely sewn-on legs and arms, a sewn-on navel and a sewn-in buttock crease; length 52 cm. Face with flaking paint, legs soiled, christening gown from the 1930s (signs of age). Also included is a cot, L 55 cm (signs of age).
