Description
A magnificent folding fan by DUVELLEROY, 19th century. Featuring bone ribs and mother-of-pearl ribs, artfully decorated with gold and silver, particularly on the outer cover ribs. The fabric consists of delicate lace and parchment, decorated with polychrome gouache painting depicting a romantic scene featuring a girl arranging flowers. There is a chain handle at the bottom. L: 27 cm. Few signs of age and wear. The original invoice from 1889 by Alouise van de Voorde, Paris, is included.
