PHILIPP MATTHÄUS HAHN Very rare and limited edition replica of the “Echterdinger pocket watch” from 1785. Full set 1990. Silver/gold-plated, limited edition of only 30 pieces to mark the 250th anniversary of his birth and 200th anniversary of his death, crafted by master watchmaker and restorer Alfred Leiter from Pforzheim. The only piece in the series with an enameled portrait of P.M. Hahn on the back of the case. Movement with key winding and cylinder escapement, skeletonized and engraved bridge, open barrel, garnet jewel, lever for balance stop, signed “Hahn á Echterdingen,” in working order. White enamel dial with off-center time display at 2 o'clock, date and day of the week at 10 o'clock, moon phase display at 6 o'clock. Good condition, slight signs of wear. Original box, certificate 05/1990, silver/gold-plated chain with winding key and confirmation of final payment in the amount of 10.000 DM in 09/1990 included. Diameter approx. 55 mm measured without crown.
