Pair of silver earrings. TEKKE/TURKMENISTAN, early 20th century. Traditional earrings featuring a central carnelian stone set in an oval setting. The ornamental decoration is partly blackened and partly gold-plated using the niello technique. Seven silver chains hang from the lower edge of each earring, each ending in a silver fish-shaped pendant. L: approx. 20.5 cm. Signs of age.
