OVAL BIEDERMEIER DESK AFTER A DESIGN BY JOSEF DANHAUSER, Vienna, c. 1825, flower ash veneered on spruce, mahogany inlays around the edge of the top and counter-veneered with cherry wood on the underside, underneath a single-layer frame, the drawer made of polished maple with a matching finish and lock, the boldly shaped base with two hemispherical ends on conical columns ends in the slightly pointed oval base, in the centre the upholstery renewed according to the historical model.
