ICON with bronze relief ‘Mother of God of Vladimir’, RUSSIA 19th century, bronze plaque in the centre depicting the Mother of God Vladimirskaya, flanked by depictions of St. Joachim and St. Anne, above them God the Father on a band of clouds, tempera on chalk primer on wooden panel (with two sponki on the reverse), HxW: approx. 30x27 cm. Signs of age and drying on the wooden panel, some slight damage and damage to the edges. COMES WITH CERTIFICATE from the ViKtor Puch Gallery, Deisenhofen, dated 1987.
