Historical brooch with fine shell cameo 'Poseidon' in frame of 14K yellow gold, decorated with corded wire and granules, backwards fixing frame of silver gilded, 17.5 g, 4.8x4 cm, beautiful engraved depiction of Poseideon in a chariot drawn by hippocampi, around 1860-1880, cameo with fractures and point of glueing, otherwise in good age-relating condition.
