Description
HERMÈS ‘EARLY AMERICA’ scarf. Designed by Francoise de la Perriere, first released in 1980. 65% cashmere, 35% silk. A tribute to the early days of America under George Washington, the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797, and inspired by a popular American art form: paper cutting. Each sheet, often made of marbled paper, is folded several times and then carefully perforated with sharp scissors or a canivet (small pocket knife). Hand-rolled hems. 90x90 cm. Shows slight signs of wear.
