Fine folding fan, 19th century. Featuring ribs of iridescent mother-of-pearl and a cream-coloured canvas surface embroidered with gold-coloured sequins. Monogrammed ‘MD’ on one of the two outer cover ribs. With a ring handle at the bottom. Few signs of age and wear. In its original case by Alouise van de Voorde, Paris.
