Description
Silver pendant ‘Gosha-Asyk’. TEKKE/TURKMENISTAN, early 20th century. Double Asyk with two heart shapes. The pendant consists of thick silver sheet metal with cabochon-cut carnelian navettes set in navette-shaped settings. Traditional back jewellery worn by Turkmen women, made of silver with carnelian stones, which was often attached to the ends of braids. Date engraved on the back: ‘1325’ (1907). Signs of age.
