MONOGRAMMIST (19th century painter), 'French sailing ship off the coast', 1845, marine scene with lighthouse, indistinctly monogrammed 'EG' or 'JG' and dated in ligature lower right, oil/canvas relined, HxW: approx. 33x41 cm (52x60 cm with frame). Signs of age and wear, craquelure, restored and retouched. With frame. VERSO remnants of old labels and paint seal.
