HERMÈS silk scarf 'L'INSTRUCTION DU ROY', by Henri d'Origny, design first published in 1993. 100% silk. ‘The King's Instruction in the Exercise of Horse Riding’ was a work by Antoine de Pluvinel in the 17th century that emphasised the importance of kindness in horse training. Pluvinel founded an academy and used illustrated plates in his manual. Hand-rolled hems. 90 x 90 cm. Signs of wear present.
