FRANCE/PARIS Coffee pot, 950 silver, circa 1798–1809, round, openwork base, bulbous, fluted sides, openwork rim, slip-on lid with a finial, spout in the shape of a swan’s head with an open beak, dark wooden handle, h: approx. 19 cm, marked with rooster in an octagon, hallmark certifying large silverware and the Paris department, makers mark (not resolved), base bears the “Head of Bacchus” hallmark certifying large silver objects from 1819–1838, total weight approx. 740 g. Signs of age and use. Monogram on lid. Edge of the lid slightly dented. Scratch marks.
