Collier 'Reißverschluss' mit 52 Brillanten

'Zip' necklace with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approx. 1.38 ct, WHITE-STW (H-I)/VS-SI, 18K yellow gold/white gold, 111.1 g, L: approx. 60 cm, W: approx. 0.6 - 2.8 cm, late 20th century, minor signs of wear. The idea originated as early as the 1930s with the Duchess of Windsor; however, the technical challenges were significant. It was not until 1950 that Van Cleef & Arpels succeeded in presenting the first “Collier Zip”.
