ICON WITH FOUR FIELDS, Russian, 19th century, with scenes from the life of Mary (Annunciation, Birth of Jesus, Adoration of the Magi) and the depiction of the Trinity (after the Trinity icon by Andrei Rublev, 15th century). Tempera on wooden panel, HxW: approx. 12.5 x 10 cm (HxW frame: 24 x 17.5 cm). Signs of age and rubbing, colour flaking, remnants of gilded inscriptions visible. Restored and retouched. Mounted behind passepartout frame (traces of age).
