JUMEAU doll machine, late 19th century. Doll girl on a square pedestal. Marked on the neck with a red stamp 'Déposé Tête Jumeau 13te, S.G.D.G. 4'. Bisque socket head with painted eyelashes and eyebrows, brown eyes, closed mouth. Brown-haired wig that lies loosely. Pierced ears with pearl earrings. Bisque forearms, upper arms made of wire frame, solid mass body. In her hands she presents a wicker cage with a dog's head. The music box winding mechanism has three movements. The head turns and tilts, then the lid of the basket is opened and closed, the dog's head moves inside and finally the doll girl's head moves again.
