Exceptional historicism brooch

An exceptional historism brooch with light blue sapphires totalling ca. 2.3 ct, cultured pearls and small old-cut diamonds totalling ca. 0.7 ct, GG 18K fire-gilt, 34.2 g, L: ca. 8.5 cm, W: ca. 6 cm, ca. 1850-1870, pin later, very good condition for its age, some of the stones slightly cracked, some of the connecting eyelets slightly open (adjustment necessary). Fine goldsmith's work, intertwined band formation in high profile, complimented with stylised partially enamelled floral elements. Outstanding piece from the period!
