BOVET museum grade open face pocket watch. France, 2nd half 19th century. Gold-plated. Sprung rear lid with polychrome enamel flower motif. Both sides of case rim, pendant and bow set with half pearls. Movement key set and wound, gold-plated and engraved, flying barrel, duplex-escapement, direct centre-second, balance with weights, skeletonized balance cock and train bridge, working, not signed. Service recommended. Movement with see-through cover (hinged), openings for winding and time-setting. White enamel dial with delicate roman numerals, blued steel hands. Very good condition, painting with light superficial scratches on the clear enamel. Matching gold-plated key enclosed, with enameled flower motif on both sides.
