About the product
BOLOGNA, GIOVANNI DA, after (G. da Bologna: 1529 - 1608), 'Flying Mercury', standing on the west wind Zephyr, fully sculpted bronze with brown patina, marble base with bronze relief 'Putti as allegorical figures of the arts', inscribed: 'J. de Bologne'. Total height approx. 86 cm, diameter base approx. 18 cm, weight approx. 12.4 kg. Traces of age, chips on the base, the caduceus in the left hand is missing. Note: The original from 1580 is in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence.
